'Making an electoral
plush piece is one way to reach an audience
and share the importance of voting,' said
[Kathy] Malowney, founder of IMA Hero™.
'One vote does make a difference. Therefore,
if one plush animal can get one person to
vote, the plush animal has made a difference,'
she said.
The IMA Hero™
collection is a series of teddy bears designed
to introduce people to historical figures.
Each bear tells the life story of a person
actively involved in national politics.
'During Ben Franklin's
life, the United States did not have formal
political parties. However, Ben supported
the U.S. Constitution which made him a Federalist,'
said Malowney. 'Abe Lincoln and Ulysses S.
Grant were Republican. In fact, Abe and Ulysses
were the first and second Republican Presidents.'
